Buffalo Moon Farm is located on a bluff overlooking the
Buffalo River in Searcy County, near the town of Snowball. The 25 acres
on which we live and grow has been farmed since originally homesteaded
in the late 1800s.
We are committed to organic farming practices. When
necessary, we use only certified organic pest control methods. We do
not use any herbicides or chemical pesticides. We use compost and
manure to enrich the soil, never synthetic fettilizers. We plant and
grow in raised beds to prevent soil erosion and conserve water. We
plant certified organic seeds, bulbs, tubers, corms, etc., whenever
possible. Our vegetables are grown almost exclusively from heirloom
seeds.
